Board & Zoning Appeals
The Board and Zoning Appeals consist of members of the Town Commission, with an alternate or alternates to be appointed by the Town Commission, who shall serve only in the absence of a member of the Town Commission.
Board of Zoning Appeals hear and make decisions regarding proposed amendments to land development regulations and on applications for rezoning and development permits; perform the functions of a local planning agency; approve or deny variances to the Land Development Regulations.
All meetings of the Board of Zoning Appeals are open to the public.
Hillsboro Inlet District
The Hillsboro Inlet District was established in1957 to provide for the maintenance of the Hillsboro Inlet, located in Broward County, Florida. The Hillsboro Inlet District is governed by an eight (8)member Board of Commissioners. The Commissioners are appointed by the following eight (8) local governments: Broward County, Deerfield Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Hillsboro Beach, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Lighthouse Point, Pompano Beach, and Sea Ranch Lakes.
The District Board of Commissioners meets on the third Monday of each month at the City of Lighthouse Point City Commission Chambers, Fletcher Hall, 2200 NE 38th Street, Lighthouse Point, Florida 33064.
