Town Commission
Overview
The Town Commission is the legislative body that governs the Town. As set by the Town Charter, the Town Commission is comprised of the Mayor and four Commissioners. The Mayor and Commissioners is elected from a single geographic district.
Responsibilities & Services
It is responsible for:
- Adopting an annual budget
- Approving bargaining unit contracts for employees represented by labor union
- Approving ordinances, laws, and resolutions
- Setting municipal service levels
- Setting policy
The Town Commission members also serve as the Board of Zoning & Appeals.
